  • cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • ½ cup honey if needed, adjust to taste
  • 1 cup tequila
  • cups grapefruit juice
  • 1 cup ginger beer or sparkling water
  • sliced strawberries, mint leaves, lime wedge optional garnishes

Instructions

  • Muddle the strawberries with honey in a cocktail shaker until they release all their natural juices.
  • Add the tequila and grapefruit juice to the shaker and vigorously shake to blend all the ingredients.
  • Fill 4 glasses with ice and pour the Paloma cocktail over the ice until ¾ full.
  • Finish with ginger beer to top it off.
  • Optional, garnish with a strawberry slice, lime wedge, rosemary sprig, or mint leaves. Serve.

Notes

Optional garnishes: sliced strawberries, mint sprigs, lime slices, rosemary sprigs, or lemon slices.
This is also delicious when the rim of the glass is rimmed with a little bit of salt
When available,  fresh grapefruit juice is best to use.  If you are using store-bought juice make sure it’s unsweetened, if it’s sweetened adjust the honey accordingly.
