This pea salad with bacon is the perfect go-to side dish for delicious summer nights. It's a classic that can also be enjoyed year-round. A tasty blend of cheddar cheese, bacon, and onion mix so well with the peas and zesty dressing.

  • 32 ounces frozen peas, defrosted          
  • 1 small red onion, peeled and slivered
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 3 ounces cooked bacon, chopped bacon bits can be used
  • cup mayonnaise Note 1
  • cup sour cream Note 1
  • 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl add the defrosted peas, slivered red onion, cheddar cheese, bacon, mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, dried dill, salt, and black pepper.
  • Gently fold ingredients together until combined.
  • Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and let chill for at least an hour up to overnight, before serving
