Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a dredging pan, beat 1 large egg until combined.
In a separate shallow bowl or dredging pan, mix ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs, ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.
Dip each calamari ring first into the egg mix, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
Place coated calamari on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle prepared calamari with 2 Tablespoons olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Serve the calamari with 4 Lemon wedges and 1 cup marinara sauce , for dipping.
