I am a Mom to 4 kids who I adore and they make me laugh and I love them beyond anything!! I have been married for a very, very, very long time – did you see how many very’s there were! We live on Long Island, New York. I love to create recipes and share them with my family and friends. In 2013, I had a stroke and that made me rethink a lot about life! I really began to look at the food I was eating and I changed many things – like reducing carbs and increasing my veggies. I exercise, I actually lost 30 pounds just from walking! I try to focus on moderation. I eat healthy most of the time, exercise, having fun with my family and a good laugh can only make me or anyone, for that matter, feel better!
I really decided to start this blog because I create a lot of recipes and in the past, I never wrote anything down. Then the family would ask for something I had previously made and I couldn’t remember the exact recipe. I had always cooked by just pulling things out of fridge and never used measuring cups, measuring spoons, and all those things! After I got sick, I started changing my way of cooking and losing weight and friends and family started asking for recipe details. So I started writing things down and one day it hit me – why not start writing a blog and share with others! Most of the time I try to cook meals that taste great but are healthy. I believe everything in moderation so there will be that yummy cake, cookie or cupcake every now and again, we just need to spend a little more time at the gym or a longer walk that day!
I hope to share family and fun things! Families are fun and crazy – mine is both:) Trying to balance family and all the activities, school, work, sports – can be interesting! Somehow , we do it and I would love to hear your family stories too!
I want to share some of my favorite things! We like to take mini trips and I really love the great places, restaurants and places we visit. I will also be reviewing products that I find helpful.
