Air Fryer Sticky Wings

Asian Sticky Wings made in the air fryer are full of flavor with Hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and garlic. Delicious chicken wings for an appetizer or snack.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken wings

Marinade

  • cup honey
  • cup soy sauce
  • cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • sesame seeds, chili flakes,

Instructions

  • In a large bowl mix honey, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, Hoisin Sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and black pepper.
  • Remove half of the marinade and pour in a medium-size bowl. Set aside.
  • To the original bowl of marinade, add the chicken wings and let rest in the refrigerator for 6 hours OR overnight.
  • Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350° F /180°C.
  • Put 6-7 chicken wings in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5 minutes on one side then turn the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes or until nicely browned.
  • Repeat with the rest of the chicken wings.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add reserved marinade. Simmer, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens. Set aside.
  • To serve, drizzle the sauce over the air-fried chicken wings. Garnish with sesame seeds, chili flakes, and chopped spring onions.
