    Instructions

    1. In a large bowl mix honey, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, Hoisin Sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and black pepper
    2. Remove half of the marinade and pour into a medium-sized bowl. Store in the refrigerator until ready to make the wings.

    1. Add the chicken wings to the first bowl of marinade. Let flavors blend for at least 6 hours up to overnight.

    1. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350° F /180°C.
    2. Place 6 to 7 wings in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5 minutes on one side then turn the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes or until nicely browned.
    1. Repeat with the rest of the chicken wings.
    2. Heat reserved marinade in a skillet. Simmer, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.
    3. To serve, drizzle the sauce over the air-fried chicken wings. Garnish with sesame seeds, chili flakes, and chopped spring onions.

    • If you are making these wings in the oven, to get them extra crispy turn the oven on broil for the last two to three minutes.

    To freeze the wings, lay the cooked wings on a large baking tray, be sure they are not touching. Place the tray in the freezer for about 1 hour to flash-freeze the wings. Then the wings can be transferred to a freezer-safe bag and kept in the freezer for up to 3 months.

    Defrost in the refrigerator overnight. Reheat in the oven at 350°F until heated through

    Instructions

    • To the first bowl of marinade, add 1 pound chicken wings. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for 6 hours up to overnight.
    • Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350° F /180°C.
    • Put 6-7 chicken wings in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5 minutes on one side then turn the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes or until nicely browned.
    • Repeat with the rest of the chicken wings.
    • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add reserved marinade. Simmer, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens. Set aside.
    • To serve, drizzle the sauce over the air-fried chicken wings. Optional garnish with sesame seeds, chili flakes, and chopped green onions.
