    I'm not sure what possessed Applebees to create these chicken wonton tacos, but I am so glad they did. These tacos are insanely delicious and ridiculously easy to make. Ready in under 30 minutes, these tacos will become a regular on your dinner rotation. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

    • boneless skinless, chicken breasts
    • wonton wrappers
    • Hoisin Sauce
    • sesame oil
    • soy sauce
    • garlic, peeled and minced
    • fresh ginger, minced
    • sweet chili sauce
    • non-stick cooking spray
    • fresh cilantro garnish, optional garnish
    • sesame seeds, garnish, optional

    Slaw Mixture

    • coleslaw mix
    • green onions, sliced thin
    • sesame oil
    • rice vinegar
    • soy sauce
    • honey

    • 9" x 13" baking pan with lid

    • large mixing bowl

    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 375˚F.
    2. Lightly brush wonton wrappers with a bit of olive oil, then drape over the side of a baking dish for about 2 minutes.
    3. Bake wontons for 7-8 minutes, watching so that they do not burn. Remove wontons and gently pull them apart a bit while still warm as they are still easy to bend. Bake for another 3-4 minutes until crispy.
    4.  In a large bowl add diced chicken and mix in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger. Place chicken mixture into a large skillet and cook until chicken is fully cooked through and golden.
    5.  Add cooked chicken into wonton shells, top with coleslaw, sprinkle with cilantro and sesame seeds, and top with a drizzle of sweet chili sauce.

    Cole Slaw Mixture

    1.  In a large bowl add coleslaw mix with chopped green onions. Pour in sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and honey, toss until fully coated, and allow to sit for about 10 minutes.

    Storage

    Store leftover Applebees chicken tacos in a covered airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

    Reheat in the oven at 375˚F for 7-8 minutes or until heated through.
