Place insert or trivet inside the Instant Pot and place the corn on top of the trivet.
Add the cold water to the vessel. Close the lid and be sure to close the vent.
Press the high pressure/manual button and set the cooking time to 2 minutes. It will take about 5-10 minutes for the pot to pressurize and 2 minutes to start counting down.
Let the pot naturally release for 5 minutes. Then, quick release the remaining pressure.
Use tongs to remove the corn from the Instant Pot. Season with your favorite toppings and serve.
