Whiskey Soaked Cherries, sweet maraschino cherries are macerated in cinnamon whiskey to create an infused cherry treat that will explode in your mouth with amazing flavor. Make a big batches of this 2-ingredient delight
Drain the grenadine syrup from the 6-ounce jar of cherries. You can reserve some to add back to the spiked cherries for flavor.
Place the cherries in an 8-ounce mason jar.
Fill the jar with ½ cup cinnamon whiskey, or a combination of cinnamon whiskey and the grenadine syrup. Ensure that the cherries are completely submerged - you can use a bit of balled up cheesecloth or wax paper to push the cherries down, if needed.
Lightly attach the mason jar lid. Place in a cool, dry spot for 3 days.(NOTE: you can store the cherries like this for up to 6 months.)
Add to cocktails, desserts or give as a homemade gift.
