Air Fryer Tri-tip Recipe

Delicious tri-tip, quickly marinated and cooked in the air fryer for the most tender, juicy steak dinner. This is a great dinner for any night of the week. Perfect for Father's Day, grilling season, or any night you are looking for a great steak dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds tri-tip steak, marinated Many tri-tips come pre-marinated. If not use your favorite homemade marinade
  • 1 teaspoon Steak Seasoning, optional Montreal Steak seasoning is a favorite. Note 1

Instructions

  • Remove the marinated steak from the refrigerator 20-30 minutes prior to cooking. This allows the meat to be more tender.
  • Place steak in air fryer basket.
  • Cook at 380°F for 8 minutes for rare (130° internal temp), 10 minutes for medium (145-150° internal temp), or 12 for well done(160°+ internal temp).
  • Remove steak from the basket. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice into strips with the grain. Serve.

Note 1: If the steak is not pre-marinated, otherwise use one of your favorite marinades such as Tequilla lime marinade. 
You can use a steak rub such as Montreal Steak seasoning, Homemade Seasoning Salt, or a marinade such as Tequilla Lime Marinade. You can also use any of your favorite liquid steak marinades for the tri-tip. 
Note 2: 8 minutes to rare(130° internal temp)
           10 minutes for medium (145-150° internal temp)
           12 for well done(160°+ internal temp)
Storage: Leftover steak can be kept in an airtight covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
