Oven Baked Chicken Thighs are roasted to perfection. Juicy and tender and a fantastic meal to serve with any of your favorite side dishes. A great recipe to use any of your favorite spice rubs following the easy baking instructions.
If desired, trim excess fat from the chicken thighs. Brush the chicken thighs on both sides with olive oil. Then sprinkle the chicken dry rub on the all sides of the chicken thighs. Press the rub into the skin of the chicken thighs.
Place the prepared chicken thighs with skin side up on the wire rack of a baking pan.
Place the baking pan on the center rack of the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. (no need to flip the thighs while baking) Note 1. The chicken thighs will cook through, juices will run clear and an instant-read oven thermometer will read 165°F when the thighs are finished baking.
Remove from the oven. Let rest 5 minutes to allow the juices to set before serving with your favorite sides.
Notes
Note 1: There is no need to cover the pan with foil. The thighs will bake and become golden brown and crispy when cooked on the rack of a baking pan. If you do not have a rack for the pan they can be cooked directly in the baking pan.
