    📋 Frequently Asked Questions

What seasoning is good on carrots?

The best seasoning for carrots is a combination of salt, pepper, and olive oil. You can also experiment with adding herbs such as thyme or rosemary to give it more flavor.

Why are my roasted carrots tough?

Your carrots might be tough because they were cooked for too long. The cooking time will vary based on the size of your carrots, so make sure to check them often.

Do I have to peel carrots?

It's up to you whether or not you want to peel the carrots. You can leave the skins on for a bit of extra fiber and nutrition, but if you prefer them peeled then go ahead and do so.

    📖 Variations

Do you want to change up this recipe? Here are some ways that you increase the flavor of this dish.

    • You change up these seasonings by seasoning the carrots with garlic powder, cumin, and smoked paprika.
    • If you love cheese could also top these roasted carrots in the air fryer with a sprinkle of grated parmesan cheese.
    • Baby carrots can be used as well, but they do have a different flavor, so I recommend giving the whole carrots a try.

    NOTES

    • The smaller the carrots are cut,the faster they will cook. So cut them how you want to serve them and changetime accordingly.
    • For very tender carrots, cook an additional 3-5 minutes. As-is, they will have just a touch of crunch left to them.
    • For this recipe, we peel the carrots. If you prefer, leave the skin on the carrots.
    • The seasoning absorbs better into peeled carrots.
    • Be sure to wash and pat the carrots dry using a paper towel or cotton towel.
    • You can add any seasoning blend to this recipe. This recipe is a good base, but you can add more seasonings to better match the main course you’re serving.
    • Baby carrots can be used for this recipe. Be mindful of the size and thickness of carrots. This will adjust your timing as far as cooking goes.
