    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 200°F/90°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.

    1. Slice the apples very thin using either a mandoline or a knife.
    A bowl of a mixture of cinnamon, confectioners sugar, and brown sugar to make apple chips.
    1. In a medium-sized bowl combine confections sugar, cinnamon, and light brown sugar.

    1. Place apples in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Use a sieve to sprinkle half the cinnamon mix on the apple slices. Flip apples and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon mix.

    1. Place the seasoned apple slices in the preheated oven and dry for 1 hour on one side. Flip the apples and continue drying for 40 to 60 minutes.

    What are the best apples to use for apple chips?

    I prefer to use either Fuji Apples, Gala Apples, or Granny Smith Apples. They are sweet and are all great for baking.

    • 4 large apples
    • 3 Tablespoons confectioners' sugar
    • 3 Tablespoon light brown sugar
    • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon

    Instructions

    Baked Apple Chips

    • Lay out apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Using a sieve, sprinkle the apples with half of the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
      Flip the apple slices over and sprinkle them with the remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture.
    • Place the seasoned apple slices in the preheated oven and dry for about 1 hour on one side.
      Then flip the apples over and continue drying for about 40-60 minutes
    • Let the apple chips cool on the counter for about 30 to 40 minutes.

    Air Fryer Instructions

    • Place apple slices in 1-2 layers in the air fryer basket. Sprinkle apples with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
    • Air fry at 320°F for 15-20 minutes, checking every 5 minutes and turning.
