- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 large egg

Instructions

- After cooling, decorate with royal icing, (quick recipe below). While the icing is still wet, press the decorations into the cookies.

- Remove the lid and foil from the frosting can.
- Place the frosting can in the microwave for 30 seconds ( for a thicker royal icing) to 1 minute (thinner royal icing for flooding.) Stir well.
- Transfer to a piping bag and decorate the cookies. Add the flowers to the cross before the icing dries.

Store the cookies in an airtight container, or sealed bag at room temperature for up to 1 week.
