Detox Lean Mean Green Juice Recipe

Are you ready to have a detox drink that is easy to make and actually tastes great?  Well then, our Green Juice Recipe is for you. It's loaded with veggies that balance out with the sweetness of apples for a protein-packed drink. A great juicer recipe that can also be made in a blender.

Detox Lean Mean Green Juice is perfect for a snack or an after-workout drink.  Green superfood veggies combined with a few of my favorite green fruits make a perfect juice

Juicing is a great way to add vegetables to your diet.

After a big party or Holiday Season, I try and be even more careful about what I eat and drink!

Is green juice really good for you?

Being a juice that is full of veggies, green juice is loaded with antioxidants. The US National Library of Medicine has specific information on health benefits.

What sweetens the juice?

Add the apple and kiwi balances the veggies for a very nice tasting drink that is sweetened naturally.

Can the juice be refrigerated after it's made?

The juice can separate after it's made. I find it best to drink right after making it but I have kept it in the fridge for up to 4 hours.

Is this a meal replacer?

Nope. We make this for a nutritious treat. A great way to add in veggies and fruit. Talk to your doctor about any nutrition matters.

Tips to make a Green Juice Recipe

• Be sure your veggies and fruit have been washed.
• Use fresh veggies and fruit.
• If you are new to juicing, remember to add a bit of fruit to balance the veggies.

2. Run your veggies and fruit through the juicer.

I am including a blender recipe for this juice because I realize not everyone owns a juicer!  The only change is the addition of coconut water to liquefy the veggies! Win/ win juicer or no juicer, everyone gets a Lean Mean Green Detox Juice!

A juice filled with superfood green veggies and fruit! A great way to ensure veggies and fruit into your diet! This is made in a juicer and I have an alternate if made in the blender!

• ▢ 2 cups chopped kale
• ▢ 1 cup baby spinach
• ▢ 1 large cucumber, washed
• ▢ 1 whole kiwi, peeled
• ▢ 1 large green apple, washed, sliced in half
• ▢ 1 large lime, washed, sliced in half

Blender Version

• ▢ use all above ingredients
• ▢ 11 ounces coconut water
• ▢ ½-1 cup ice

How to Make Lean Mean Green Juice in the Juicer

1. On low speed, run the kale, spinach, cucumber, kiwi, green apple, lime through the juicer. (Note 1)
2. Serve immediately in a large glass filled with ice.

Blender Version of Lean Mean Detox Juice

1. Into the blender, add kale, spinach, cucumber, peeled kiwi, cored green apple, lime zest, juice of 1 lime, coconut water, and 1 cup of ice.  
2. Blend until all ingredients are pureed.
3. Serve immediately in a large glass or mason jar.

Note 1: If using the blender, zest the lime and add just the juice to the blender, peel the kiwi before adding to the blender,
