Eileen's Tips for Delicious Pumpkin Hot Chocolate

    • After many test recipes, I recommend using whole milk; it will give you the best flavor and the creamiest hot cocoa.
    • Before serving, give the hot chocolate a good whisking to ensure that all the chocolate has melted completely.
    • Be sure to use pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long can you keep hot chocolate warm in a slow cooker?

The hot cocoa can stay in your slow cooker on warm for about 2 hours.

Can you warm milk in a slow cooker?

Yes, since the slow cookers heat the milk slowly, you don't have to worry about the milk curdling as it could on the stovetop.

    Make-ahead, storage, and freezer tips
