    Oreo Melted Snowman Cookies

    Ingredients

    Oreo Truffles

    • 18 Oreo Cookies
    • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
    • 8 ounces white melting wafers

    Decorating the Snowmen

    • 19.1 ounce Double Stuffed Oreos, family size package 24 Oreos per package
    • 1 (4) ounce Wilton Black Sugar Pearls 4 ounce jar
    • 4 ounces orange candy melts
    • 24 mini Reese mini peanut butter cup
    • 16 ounces white chocolate melting wafers

    Instructions

    How to make the Oreo Truffle

    1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Place the 18 Oreo cookies in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until finely ground.
    3. Add the cream cheese and pulse until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
    4. Using a small ice cream scooper, scoop some dough into your hands and roll it into a ball, place it onto a cookie sheet. Repeat steps until all dough is used.
    5. Place the cookie balls in the freezer until well chilled, at least 1 hour.

    Build the Melting Snowmen

    1. Place 24 Oreo cookies onto a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
    2. Using a microwave or double boiler, melt the white chocolate melting wafers. If you are microwaving the white chocolate, melt at 20-second intervals, stirring in between until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
    3. Gradually stir the white chocolate until completely smooth.
    4. Spoon about 1 ½ C of melted white chocolate into 1 of the piping bags.
    5. Place the truffle onto the top of the oreo.
    6. Remove the oreo truffles from the refrigerator.
    7. Cut the tip off the disposable piping bag and pipe a melted snow pile onto the top of the cookie
    8. Place the toothpick into the middle of the oreo truffle so that it's easy to dip the truffle into the white chocolate.
    9. Dip the oreo truffle into the remaining melted white chocolate.
    10. Place the truffle onto the top of the oreo.
    11. Carefully push a mini Reese cup onto the top of the oreo truffle.
    12. Place two of the black sprinkles on the middle center for the eyes.
    13. For the buttons, place two more black sprinkles on the top side of the white chocolate on the oreo.
    14. Melt the orange candy melts and scoop into the last piping bag. (use the same method as for the white chocolate melts
    15. Cut the tip off and pipe a small cone for the nose. Allow the truffles to dry completely before enjoying them!
    16. Allow the cookies to dry completely. Then enjoy!

    Storage

    Because of the cream cheese in these no-bake Oreo truffles be sure to always store them in the fridge. They can be stored for up to one week.

    Expert Tips

    Expert Tip: If you find that your truffles are too soft when you are dipping them. place them back into the freezer for another 30 minutes.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can I freeze No-Bake Oreo Truffles?

    Yes, you can freeze them. Just make sure that you use a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be frozen for up to three months.

    Can I use regular Oreos instead of Double Stuffed?

    Yes, you can use regular Oreos. However, Double Stuff Oreos really works the best.

    Do I need to refrigerate the Oreo Truffles?

    Yes, it's important that you keep them in the fridge until just before serving.

    Variations

    • Regular Chocolate wafers can be used instead of white chocolate but the white chocolate is really what gives these the Melted Snowman look.
    • Small candy eyes can be used instead of sprinkles if you have candy eyes on hand.
    • If you have a nut allergy a Rolo candy will work for the top hat for these Oreo truffle cookies.
    • You can also use any other type of small candy for the eyes and buttons. For example, Sixlets, M&M's, or mini chocolate chips.
