    • Apples, peeled and sliced
    • chopped Twix candy bars
    • lemon, juiced
    • granulated white sugar
    • all-purpose flour
    • salt

    • unsalted butter, cold 
    • all-purpose flour
    • light brown sugar, packed
    • salt

    Prepare the filling

    Step by step pictorial to make caramel apple pie crumble
    1. Preheat oven to 375°F/191°C. Have a 9-inch prepared pie crust (unbaked) ready, and set aside.
    2. In a large mixing bowl add your apples, lemon juice, sugar, and flour. Toss to combine.
    3. Add the diced Twix candy to the sliced apples and toss to combine.
    4. Place the apples/ Twix mixture in the prepared pie shell. Set aside.

    Prepare the crumble

    1. In a large bowl add the cold unsalted butter, all-purpose flour, packed brown sugar, and salt. Using a party cutter mix to combine. Note 1
    2. Top the pie with crumb topping.
    3. Bake for 1 hour, the liquid will be bubbling and the apples will be soft and cooked through. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

    Topping

    1. Top with diced Twix candy and drizzle chocolate topping on the apple crumble.
    2. Ready to serve.

    How to store, reheat, and freeze

    Store: Leftover pie must be stored in the refrigerator, covered. It will last for 2-3 days.

    Reheat: Place slices of cooled pie on a baking sheet and reheat at 350 degrees F until warmed through.

    Freeze: You can freeze this pie for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
