❄️ Make ahead, storage, and freezer tips
Store leftovers in a covered airtight container for up to 3 days. Or freeze for up to 6 months.
Make ahead: Turkey chili is a great recipe to make ahead for meal planning.
Change this to be a plant-based, vegetarian chili and use tofu, or veggie crumbles for the protein.
Freezer Instructions: Make the chili as instructed, let it cool to room temperature. Then place the chili in either a freezer-safe storage container or storage freezer bag.
If using a freezer bag, be sure to remove excess air from the bag or use a food saver to seal the storage bag.
The chili can be frozen for up to 3 - 4 months. Defrost in the refrigerator overnight and reheat in a stockpot over low heat until heated through.
If using a microwave to reheat, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
