Expert Tips
- If you want a soft-boiled egg, you can reduce the cooking time by two minutes.
- A 6-quart air fryer was used for this recipe. If you have a smaller one, use as many eggs as can that will fit in one layer. Do not change the temperature or cooking time.
- Store-bought eggs peel much easier and cleaner than fresh farm eggs. I have yet to find something that truly works well with fresh farm eggs.
- The eggs will be very hot when coming out of the air fryer. I tend to let them sit in the air fryer basket for a couple of minutes before handling them.
- You can also use tongs if you want to get them in the ice bath sooner.
- It's important to make sure that your eggs are in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
- Your eggs may have small brown spots on the eggs, this is just from the hot air in the air fryer and is no cause for concern.
- I like to season my eggs with paprika, cajun seasoning, homemade seasoning salt, everything bagel seasoning, or salt and pepper.
