How to Make Philly Cheesesteak Sliders
This is an overview of the recipe. The full instructions are below in the recipe card.

- Thinly slice hanger steak, bell peppers, and onion.
- Season meat with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place meat, peppers, beef broth, and soy sauce in the Instant Pot. Place the lid on the pot and close the pressure valve. Set to high pressure for 10 minutes.
- When finished, release the pressure valve for an instant release. Once all steam is released, open the lid. Remove and shred the meat. Add the meat back to the Instant Pot with peppers. For a thicker sauce, add one Tablespoon of cornstarch.

- Slice the Hawaiian slider bun in half. Add the bottom portion of the buns to an 8" x 8" baking pan.
- Spoon steak and peppers onto the buns.
- Cover steak and peppers with provolone cheese and top bun. Brush the top buns with melted cheese. Set under the broiler on high, about 2 minutes for the cheese to melt. ( Do not walk away from the broiler; the cheese may melt faster, depending on the oven)
- Garnish with everything bagel seasoning and chopped parsley.
- Serve and enjoy.

How to store, reheat, and freeze
Storage - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. I recommend that you store leftovers unassembled.
Reheat - Reheat the leftovers in the microwave or in a skillet over medium heat. Then assemble and bake per the directions above.
Freezing - You can freeze the beef mixture, cheese, and rolls. However, you will need to freeze them separately.
Expert Tips
Expert Tip: To avoid the dreaded "burn" notice on your Instant Pot, make sure to add enough liquid. We find that ½ to 1 cup is usually plenty. If you are unsure, it is always better to add more liquid than not enough.
Frequently Asked Questions
I prefer to use hanger steaks, or very thinly sliced ribeye steaks for Philly cheesesteaks.
If you have the time, I highly recommend marinating the meat. This will help to tenderize the meat and infuse it with flavor. However, if you are short on time, you can skip this step.
I love to add a little BBQ sauce, ketchup, or mayo to my Hawaiian roll Philly cheesesteak slider.
