Beef Sliders
- ground beef
- Kosher salt
- Worcestershire sauce
- garlic powder
- smoked paprika
- homemade Hawaiian slider buns store bought or dinner rolls
- cheddar cheese, sliced
Garlic Ketchup
- ketchup
- sweet
- sweet chili sauce
- grated garlic
- fresh basil, julienned
Ingredient Notes
- I use 80/20 ground beef but you could use a different fat proportion-- or make turkey sliders!
- Salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika add great flavor that enhance the meatiness of the sliders. If you have a pre-made burger seasoning, you could also use 2 ½ teaspoons of it instead.
- Worcestershire sauce adds depth of flavor and great umami to the burgers. If you don’t have any, feel free to leave it out or substitute 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce.
- I use Hawaiian rolls but you could use any slider buns you like.
- I love cheddar cheese on cheeseburgers but you could use any cheese you like-- pepper jack, mild cheddar, or brie are all delicious.
- Ketchup adds sweetness and acidity to the burgers to cut through all of the fat. I serve the ketchup on the side so people can add as much or as little as they like.
- Sweet chili sauce adds a bit of heat and additional sweetness to the ketchup. Trust me, it’s delicious!
- Grating the garlic with a microplane zester helps it incorporate more smoothly into the ketchup. If you don’t have a microplane you can substitute 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
- Basil adds unexpected herbaceous flavor to the ketchup. You could substitute 1 teaspoon fresh minced thyme or ½ teaspoon fresh minced rosemary if you prefer.
