- In a small bowl whisk together the cinnamon, allspice, and corn starch to combine the ingredients and absorb the corn starch into the liquid. Set aside.
- In a medium-size saucepan over medium heat, add the diced apples, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir to mix ingredients together.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the apple mixture and toss to combine. Simmer and stir often for 15-20 minutes until the apples are soft.
- Remove from the heat and set to the side.
Assemble biscuits and casserole
- Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C. Spray cast iron pan with non-stick baking spray. Set aside.
