- egg whites
- confectioners sugar
- pure vanilla extract
- cream of tartar
- teal gel food coloring
- black gel food coloring
- pink gel food coloring
- yellow gel food coloring
- black cake frosting
Instructions

- Using a standing mixer, beat the egg whites, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream of tartar for 5-7 minutes until stiff peaks form.
- Divide the icing into 4 bowls. Mix 1 color into each bowl until you get the desired colors you like.
- Cut 12 circles out of the brownie bar and place them onto a cookie sheet.
- Pipe a triangle or an odd shape onto the top of the brownie and fill it in.
- Repeat the same step with the remaining colors. making sure they touch.
- Be sure the colors touch.
- Using the black icing bag, pipe black lines over the parts where the colors meet to create Sally “stitching”.
- Pipe small lines or x over the black lines to create the binding look of Sally's dress Allow the icing to harden.
Eileen's Tips for Success
- I recommend that you use gel food coloring. Liquid food coloring can cause your frosting to be too thin.
- If making brownies from a box mix, add an extra egg to the recipe. This will help to add moisture and make the Halloween-decorated brownies chewier.

Ingredients
- 1 (12" x 9") recipe for brownies Note 1 pre-made brownies or make a box mix
- 4 large egg whites Note 2
- 3 ½ cups confectioners sugar Note 3, divided 3 cups and ½ cup
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- teal gel food coloring
- black gel food coloring
- pink gel food coloring
- yellow gel food coloring
- black cake frosting
Instructions
- Cut 12 circles out of the 12-inch x 9-inch brownie bars and place them onto a cookie sheet. Set aside.
- Using a standing mixer, with paddles attached, beat 4 large egg whites, 3 cups confectioners sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar for 5-7 minutes until stiff peaks form. You may need to add ½ cup more confectioners' sugar if the icing is too thick.
- Divide the icing into 4 small mixing bowls, mix 1 color each of teal, black, pink, and yellow gel coloring into each bowl until you get the desired colors you are looking for.
- Using whichever color you prefer, place that gel into a piping bag and pipe a triangle or an odd shape onto the top of the brownie and fill it in.
- Repeat the same step with the remaining colors, making sure they touch.
- Using the black icing bag, pipe black lines over the parts where the colors meet to create Sallys “stitching” Pipe small " x" over the black lines to create the binding look of Sally's dress
- Allow the icing to harden.
- Squeeze the black frosting into the last piping bag. Pipe a spider anywhere on the top of the brownies.
- Allow the frosting to harden for an hour before enjoying it.
