    Eileen's Tips for Success

    • For the best results, the heavy cream should be very cold before whipping—it helps it reach stiff peaks more quickly.
    • When folding in the ingredients, use a gentle hand to maintain the airiness of the whipped cream. This will keep the ice cream light and fluffy.
    • Don't overdo the food coloring. A few drops go a long way to achieve the perfect minty green shade.
    • To help the ice cream set more evenly, freeze the loaf pan for 10 minutes before adding the mixture.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a stand mixer instead of a hand mixer?

Absolutely! A stand mixer works just as well for whipping your heavy cream. Just be sure to watch it closely to avoid over-whipping.

What should I do if my whipped cream won’t reach stiff peaks?

Make sure your heavy cream is cold before whipping—it’s key to achieving stiff peaks. Additionally, use a chilled bowl and beaters for even better results.
