Eileen's Tips for Success
- For the best results, the heavy cream should be very cold before whipping—it helps it reach stiff peaks more quickly.
- When folding in the ingredients, use a gentle hand to maintain the airiness of the whipped cream. This will keep the ice cream light and fluffy.
- Don't overdo the food coloring. A few drops go a long way to achieve the perfect minty green shade.
- To help the ice cream set more evenly, freeze the loaf pan for 10 minutes before adding the mixture.
