- Place rinsed, dried green beans in prepared baking dish.
- Season with salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and lemon zest.
- Pour heavy cream over the green beans. Mix to combine.
- Top string beans with Parmesan and shredded Gouda cheese. Cover baking tray with aluminum foil. Bake as directed.
- Once the string beans have been baked, remove the aluminum foil. Continue to bake for an additional 5 minutes to completely melt all the cheese. The green beans will be fork-tender.
