Leftovers: Leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator in a covered airtight container for up to 2 days.
Make ahead: You can prep the string beans ahead and keep them in a pot of water in the refrigerator up to overnight before preparing the recipe. Drain off the water and the beans dry before proceeding with the recipe.
Due to the dairy ingredients, do not freeze this recipe as the cream can develop a curdled texture when defrosted.
👩🏻🍳 Eileen's Tips for Success
- When picking fresh beans, look for a vibrant green color in the beans.
- Stay away from beans with brown spots. They are older beans and not as fresh.
- If using frozen green beans, defrost them first so they do not release a lot of moisture into the pan.
