Instructions

  1. Place chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the Italian dressing on top of the meat and place half the jar of salad peppers and half the juice from the jar into the crock pot. Reserve the rest of the peppers. The remainder of the juice can be discarded.
  3. Cover with lid and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours. 
  4. When the meat is fork tender remove most of the juice from the slow cooker and shred your meat right in the slow cooker.
  5. Add the parmesan cheese and stir.
  6. Assemble the sandwiches.
  7. Place provolone cheese on the buns, then the meat and the reserved peppers.
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Storage

Store leftovers in a covered airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator.

Make-Ahead Freezer Instructions: 

This is a great make-ahead meal. The recipe can be made and stored in a freezer-safe storage bag or container for up to 3 months. Defrost overnight and reheat in a large stockpot until warmed through.
