    Instructions

    Step 1: Stir together to combine the Cool Chip and orange gelatin powder, no white streaks should be in the mixture in a large bowl.

    Step 2: Fold in the drained mandarin oranges, mini marshmallows, cottage cheese, and sweetened shredded coconut and mix until well combined.

    Step 3: The salad can be served right away. We recommend refrigerating in a covered, airtight container for at least 1 hour up to 12 for the best flavor before serving.

    • Storage - Store the orange jello salad with cottage cheese in the fridge in an airtight container for up to five days.
    • Freezing - This dish does not freeze well as the gelatin will separate when it thaws.

    Instructions

    • In a large mixing bowl, stir together 1 (8) ounce Cool Whip and 1 (3) ounce orange gelatin together until no white streaks are in the mixture.
    • To the gelatin mixture, add 1 (14) ounce can, mandarin oranges, 1½ cups mini marshmallows, 1 cup cottage cheese , and 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut. Mix until well combined.
    • For best results, refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour up to 12 hours to blend flavors. Top wit additional mandarin orange slices for optional garnish.
