    Eileen's Tips for Success

    • Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature of the burgers. The burgers are done when the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
    • Be sure to spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray so the burgers do not stick.
    • Make sure to let the burgers rest for a minute after cooking, so they don't lose any juices.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can I make these ahead?

You can combine the beef, shape the patties and store them on a plate covered in plastic wrap in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

Do I need to flip burgers in the air fryer?

No, you don't need to worry about flipping your burgers in the air fryer.

    Can I freeze burger patties?

Yes, you can freeze them cooked or raw. I recommend individually wrapping them so they are easy to pull out as you need them.

    Variations

Do you want to change up this recipe?

    • If you prefer a smoky flavor, add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika to the ground beef mixture.
    • If you want your cheeseburgers even juicier and more flavorful, try adding 2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce to the ground beef before forming it into patties.
    • Instead of ground beef, you can use ground turkey to make your burgers.

Make ahead, storage, and freezer tips

Storage - Leftover hamburgers can be stored in a covered airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating - Reheat in the air fryer or oven at 350°F for a few minutes to reheat. A microwave can also be used to reheat the burgers.
