    Make-ahead, storage, and freezer tips

Storage - Breakfast bagel pizzas will last for about 3 days stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Make sure that they have cooled completely before adding them to the fridge.

Make Ahead - Breakfast pizza bagels can be made up to a day ahead. Reheat when you are ready to eat.

Reheating - Reheat in the oven at 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes or in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 2-3 minutes.

Breakfast Pizza Bagels - These Breakfast Bagels are so easy to freeze. Once made, place them on a large sheet pan in the freezer to par-freeze for at least 30 minutes. This step ensures they will not stick together in the freezer.

The egg pizza bagels can be placed in freezer-safe bags for up to 3 months.

The egg pizza bagels can be cooked from frozen or defrosted overnight in the refrigerator.

    Eileen's Tips for Success

    • Lining a baking sheet with parchment paper will prevent the breakfast ham, egg bagels from sticking to the pan. This makes for an easy clean-up.
    • If using leftover ham, slice it thin or dice it into cubes to top the ham egg breakfast pizzas.
    • Watch the egg pizza bagels closely while they are in the oven; they don't need long in the oven.

Variations to making Breakfast Pizza Bagels

Do you want to change up this recipe?

    • Vegetables: Use our veggie egg scramble for extra nutrients, peppers, mushrooms, and leftover broccoli or asparagus; all will work well.
    • Protein: Instead of ham, use cooked sausage, bacon, chorizo, or turkey bacon.
    • Cheese: Switch out whatever type of cheese you have on hand. Mozzarella, cheddar cheese, or even pepper jack for a little heat would work great.
    • Traditional Pizza Bagel: Use marinara sauce or pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese. Top with prosciutto and a fried egg for a traditional pizza-style breakfast.
    • Seasoning: Make this a bit Tex-Mex with Pico de Gallo, Guacamole, and Mexican cheese.
    • Gravy: If you want gravy for the egg bagel pizzas, make a batch of breakfast gravy and use that as the base on top of your bagels.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do you toast bagels before making pizza bagels?

There is no need to toast the bagels before you make them. However, if you prefer them crunchy, toast the bagels before adding the eggs.

Why are my breakfast pizza bagels soggy?

Your breakfast pizza on a bagel recipe should not be soggy because you are using scrambled eggs.
The egg cracked into the bagel whole concept can cause undercooked whites and a soggy bagel. So using our egg scramble will give you better results.
