👩🏻🍳Eileen's Tips for Success
- For easy cleanup, spray the slow cooker vessel well with nonstick cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner.
- Make sure you place the water over the top of the stuffing so that your stuffing doesn't dry out.
- Try not to remove the lid during cooking or your slow cooker won't retain the heat and it will take longer to cook.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, a side of vegetables, and a salad for a complete meal.

📖 Variations
Do you want to change up this recipe? Here are some ways that you increase the flavor of this dish.
- Ham: This is a great recipe to use leftover ham. Honey Ham or Maple Glazed Ham leftovers would both be perfect for this recipe.
- Cheese: Use different types of cheese like mozzarella, cheddar, or Colby.
- Spices: Mix in some garlic powder with your cream soup for extra flavor.
- Creaminess: Replace the sour cream with Greek yogurt for a healthier version.
- Crunch factor: Top the finished dish with sliced almonds to add some crunch.
❄️ Make ahead, storage, and freezer tips
Make ahead - You can assemble all of the ingredients but the stuffing in the slow cooker liner and cover it and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Then add it to a slow cooker in the morning and top with the stuffing and water.
Storage - Store leftover Chicken and Stuffing in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Freezing - You can freeze this dish for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge, then reheat in a 350°F oven until it is warmed through. However, I recommend that you freeze it without the stuffing.
