- Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350°F/180°C.
- While preheating the air fryer, prepare the chicken. If there are any giblets in the cavity of the chicken, remove them and either save them for chicken stock or discard them. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel.
- Brush olive oil over the entire chicken, including the cavity of the chicken. Then sprinkle the chicken with the chicken rub or your favorite seasoning. Be sure to season the inside of the chicken with the dry rub.
- Place the seasoned chicken into the basket of the air fryer breast side down. Cook at 375°F/190°C for 30 minutes. Then, turn the chicken over and continue to air fry at the same temperature for another 25-30 minutes. The internal temperature of the chicken will be 165°F/75°C when cooked through.
- Remove the chicken roast from the air fryer basket and let rest on a cutting board for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

- Brush olive oil over the entire chicken, including the cavity of the chicken. Then sprinkle the chicken with the chicken rub or your favorite seasoning. Be sure to also season the inside of the chicken.
- Place the seasoned chicken on the rotisserie rack. Place in the air fryer oven on the rotisserie rack. Turn the dial to the rotisserie and the temperature at 375°F/190°F and air fry for 60 minutes.
- If you prefer to not use the rotisserie method, place the chicken in the wire basket on the second rack in the air fryer oven, press air fryer, temperature to 375°F/190°C, and time 60 minutes. You will not need to turn the chicken as the air flows all around it.
- Check the internal temperature after 60 minutes, the temperature of the chicken should be 165°F/190°F when cooked through
- Remove the chicken roast from the air fryer basket and let rest on a cutting board for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Storage - Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
Reheat - To reheat the rotisserie chicken, place it on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F/190°C for 8-10 minutes or until heated through. Or reheat in the air fryer at 350 degrees, for 8 to 10 minutes or until warm all the way through.
Freezing - To freeze the rotisserie chicken, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place it in a freezer-safe bag and store for up to 6 months.
